Doug Waters is the visionary founder and leader of Flaresoft Solutions, a company poised at the cutting edge of operational technology. His roots in the stunning landscapes of British Columbia fostered an early fascination with technology, which blossomed into a profound dedication to industrial automation and software development. This dedication laid the foundation for a career that would become synonymous with innovation in control systems and SCADA interfaces.
Doug’s professional expertise was profoundly shaped during his impactful period at Exile Automation, where he refined his skills in control system integration and design. However, it was at Crescent Point Energy where Doug’s talents in operational technology, SCADA system architecture, and automation reached new heights. This experience was not just a job—it was a pivotal phase where he developed a mastery in orchestrating complex SCADA systems, laying down the architectural frameworks that drive efficiency and innovation in the industry.
With a diploma in Automated System Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (2013), Doug is well-versed in a multitude of programming languages, including Python, PHP, Node.JS, and React. He also has extensive experience with databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Now residing in Airdrie, Alberta, Doug balances his professional life with his personal passions. He is an avid lover of hockey, camping, and cherishes his time with his wife and three beautiful children.
